Richard was introduced to financial planning as a career in 1982. Armed with a bachelor’s degree and a few years of business experience, he began work with a prominent New England insurance company and fell in love with the work and the ongoing challenge. Just eight months later, he joined one of the first independent broker-dealers in the country to strike out on his own.
Out of a desire to better serve his clients, he returned to the classroom at The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Richard obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter® designation in 1986 and the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation one year later.
The motto for Richard’s life has been "learn what you can’t do." He is grateful for his success and largely credits his wife Valerie and his incredible supporting office team. He enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, thankful for each day.
