The Changing Client
How are demographics, family dynamics, expectations, and ownership of wealth changing what clients need?

Experience. Expertise. Perspective.
Across wealth management, women are advising families, building businesses, leading teams, solving complex problems, developing talent, driving growth, and helping shape where our industry goes next. Meridian brings those women and perspectives together.
A network built around experience, expertise, meaningful relationships, and the value of seeing the business from different seats.

Industry Context
Wealth management is navigating enormous change. The decisions being made now will influence who the industry serves, how advice is delivered, and what the advisory firm of the future becomes.
Trillions of dollars will move between generations, reshaping family relationships, ownership, responsibility, and trust.
Women will increasingly control and influence family wealth, changing who participates in financial decisions.
Families are asking more of their advice, communication, service, technology, and relationships.
Advisory businesses are navigating succession as the next generation of advisors, leaders, and clients emerges.
Technology and data are changing how firms understand their businesses, make decisions, and serve clients.
Scale is creating new opportunities and new complexity as the definition of great advice continues to evolve.
What We’re Thinking About
Meridian explores the forces changing clients, advisory businesses, leadership, and the future of advice through the people experiencing and responding to them.
How are demographics, family dynamics, expectations, and ownership of wealth changing what clients need?
What creates organic growth, operational leverage, stronger relationships, and more valuable businesses?
How should advisors think differently about spouses, heirs, succession, and the transfer of wealth and trust?
What happens as technology, data, planning, investments, service, talent, and scale increasingly intersect?
What can we learn from people influencing outcomes across an organization, regardless of where they sit?
What are advisors, operators, planners, client professionals, and business builders actually implementing and learning?

A Note From Our Founder
“I didn’t create Meridian because I believe women need to be taught how to lead. They are already leading.”
I’ve spent a lot of my career in rooms where women weren’t the majority. But when I think about those rooms, that isn’t actually what stands out to me.
I think about the women I met in them. Women who could walk into complicated situations and see what needed to happen next. Women who earned extraordinary trust.
Women who built businesses, fixed problems, developed people, strengthened relationships, and became the person everyone called when something really needed to get done.
I’ve met so many women like this throughout my career. And I’ve always thought more people should know them.
I created Meridian because I want more of those women to know one another. And I want more of the industry to know them, too.

One of Meridian’s greatest strengths is that we do not all do the same thing. Each seat provides another piece of the picture.
Client relationships and business ownership
Knowledge of families, service, and implementation
Systems, people, processes, and scale
Technical expertise and financial strategy
New expectations and the future of the practice
Growth, positioning, and communication
Put those perspectives around the same table and the conversation changes. That’s the room we’re building.

The transfer of wealth is not simply changing who owns assets. It has implications for how advisory firms think about relationships, families, service, communication, and the future of advice.
