Daniel Schwamb

President, Business Development

Daniel Schwamb serves as President of Business Development at Coastline Wealth Management, where he leads the firm’s advisor growth, strategic partnership, acquisition, and succession planning initiatives.

In his role, Dan works with advisors at pivotal points in the life of their business. Whether they are preparing for their next stage of growth, exploring independence, planning for succession, evaluating an acquisition, or looking to realize a portion of the value they have created, he helps them understand their options and build a strategy around what they want the business to become.

Dan’s work begins with the advisor’s vision. He looks beyond production and assets to understand the business itself, including its clients, team, culture, ownership structure, growth potential, operational needs, and long-term enterprise value. From there, he helps determine how Coastline’s platform, capital, infrastructure, and leadership resources can support that vision without losing the identity and relationships that made the practice successful.

He leads the development of flexible partnership structures designed to meet advisors where they are. These may include independent affiliation, full or partial acquisitions, succession partnerships, strategic investments, and growth opportunities for advisors looking to expand through acquisition. His approach gives advisors greater choice in how they transition, monetize, retain ownership, and remain involved in the future of their business.

Dan also connects advisors with the broader capabilities required to scale successfully, including investment management, business intelligence, operations, technology, marketing, practice management, and team development. His focus is on creating alignment between the advisor’s goals and the resources surrounding them so that growth strengthens the business, the client experience, and the advisor’s long-term position.

Dan brings more than 30 years of financial services and wealth management experience to Coastline. He began his career as a financial advisor before moving into business development leadership, giving him a firsthand understanding of both the personal and strategic considerations behind an advisor’s decision to transition. Before joining Coastline, he spent 12 years leading business development at Kestra Financial and previously held roles with LPL Financial and Morgan Stanley.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Wesley College. He brings an advisor-centered, consultative approach to helping financial professionals protect what they have built, recognize its full potential, and move forward with greater clarity, flexibility, and confidence.
